Chris Edwards here with Tricor Wellness, and thank you so much for having me on the presentation today. I'm excited to share what's been going on down here in Southwest Florida. We are down in the United States, in Florida, in the Southwest region. So, Naples, Fort Myers and Bonita Springs. Let's talk about some of the really big challenges in our industry.
Market Challenges and SeasonalityHigh real estate costs and seasonal demand fluctuations significantly strain profitability for local fitness operations. Businesses must address these overhead burdens to ensure sustainable year-round financial viability.Shifting to Consultant ModelsOperators should transition from selling individual training hours to providing comprehensive metabolic health advisory services. This shift increases member yield and improves long-term client retention strategies.Technology and Metabolic IntegrationAdopting the technology, business, and science framework allows facilities to offer scalable, data-driven wellness solutions. This modernisation bridges the gap between traditional fitness and longevity-focused medical care.

Brendan James and Matt Gordin are brother- in-laws and close friends who have secured the master franchising rights to Rumble Boxing in Australia under their brand, Boutique Fitness Studios. The duo also has exclusive rights to Club Pilates, CycleBar and StretchLab, all of which are extremely popular US brands that fall under the Xponential Fitness banner. A publicly listed company in the U.S., Xponential is the largest franchisor of boutique fitness brands globally with 10 brands spanning 2,700+ locations across the world. After graduating from university together, Matt chose to pursue a career in business, while Brendan ventured into the world of options trading. Brendan's trading expertise eventually led him to Chicago, while Matt's entrepreneurial spirit took him to Los Angeles to explore various business ventures.Despite their differing career paths, both Matt and Brendan shared a passion for the fitness industry. They had an opportunity to experience Xponential, a prominent player in the boutique fitness space, and were thoroughly impressed by the brand's comprehensive offering, innovative business model, and global success franchising complementary boutique fitness concepts.Inspired by their exposure to Xponential, Matt decided to bring CycleBar, the largest indoor-cycling brand, back with him to their hometown. Meanwhile, Brendan, after retiring from trading, embarked on his own entrepreneurial journey by developing Club Pilates. As the number of brands under their belts grew and the opportunities to scale effectively in Australia became more apparent, Brendan and Matt decided to join forces under the Boutique Fitness Studios (BFS) name, offering a portfolio of four distinct fitness brands under one umbrella. This strategic collaboration allowed them to leverage their combined expertise and resources to expand their reach and impact in the industry. With over 30 open locations and 90 studios already sold across the BFS group, their business continues to flourish with a focus on further expansion. The latest addition to their line-up, Rumble, has quickly become one of the hottest brands in the market, gaining significant popularity.
Excited about its potential, Brendan and Matt have plans to open five new Rumble studios this year, further solidifying their position in the boutique fitness industry.

Disabilities - LGTBQIA+ - Older Demographic Inclusive Not ExclusiveKen Baldwin, Scott Hunt, Fiona Kriaris and Nadine Kemp make up our panel to discuss subjects we sometimes shy away from.Gyms need inclusivity to foster health for all. Excluding individuals based on disability, LGBTQIA+ status, or age neglects our collective wellness. Disability-inclusive equipment, respect for gender identities, and accommodating older individuals can empower gyms spaces. Inclusion enhances community health, encouraging positive self-image and diverse social interactions for every gym-goer. Sometimes we think we are inclusive when in fact, we remain exclusive.Register now at https://lnkd.in/gVvXM8V6 use code VIPFRIEND and save $50 before 22nd July
